SAFC Foundation of Light
The children taking part in the 'Read and Write Army' launch event at the Stadium of Light.
Our 'Read And Write Army' sessions are currently taking place on a Thursday evening after school. The course lasts for 12 weeks for 10 children (currently year 4) and is delivered by the excellent Phil Cowler from the Foundation Of Light. Click on the photos below to scroll through them.
The Foundation of Light provides Highfield with high quality PPA (Planning Preparation and assessment) cover for years 2 to 5. During the sessions the children learn about healthy life styles, sportsmanship, teamwork and diversity. Sessions begin in the classroom and also involve some physical activity.
Highfield is developing their partnership with Improving Futures, part of the Foundation of Light, and there are many exciting projects coming up in the next few weeks.
